We are officially launching The Lockdown project with streamed performances and workshops

I’m excited to present my new project: pandemic stories told through spoken word and jazz fusion, funded by Arts Council England.

Streamed performances and online workshops will feature jazz and world, rhythmic and lyrical music by Daphna Sadeh, poetry by Karen Hayes, spoken word by Dom Coyote, and musicians Celeste Cantor-Stephens (trumpet), Thomas Hodson (accordion) Myke Vince (percussion) and Daphna Sadeh (double bass).

The music and poetry tell the stories of individuals from diverse communities, their experiences of living through the pandemic, their challenges and their positive insights.

Participatory workshops will be delivered in partnership with diverse community organisations and wellbeing charities, giving people a way to share their lockdown experiences and connect through music & poetry.

Performances will be online on the 10th, 17th and 24th of July 2021 and workshops will be held in the Autumn of 2021.

Tickets will be available at http://thelockdownproject.eventbrite.co.uk from mid June 2021.
